Indiana Agricultural Literacy
Lesson Plan Library
The Indiana Agriculture Resource
Council (IARC) is proud to offer an ag literacy curriculum for middle school students – the Indiana Agricultural Literacy
Lesson Plan Library. The curriculum was designed to meet
Indiana Department of Education standards for math, English,
social studies and science. It is an excellent curriculum to use
in fourth grade classrooms and for students at grade levels
beyond fourth grade.
The
curriculum is $129.95 and is available through the Center for Agricultural and Environment
Research and Training, Inc. (CAERT). The curriculum
consists of 40 educationally-sound lessons designed for students grades
4-6. Formatted just like CAERT’s popular High School Lesson
Plan Libraries, the Agricultural Literacy Lesson Plan Library is
easy to use and provides teachers with the tools they need to
successfully integrate agriculture into their academic content.
Units of Instruction include: General Agricultural Science,
Animal Science, Plant Science, Horticulture Science,
Agribusiness, Environmental Science, Agricultural Mechanics, and
Food Science. Individual CD-ROM's are available.
